You may have heard about the Missoula Church Posting candidates' campaign signs on their property-- Choosing to promote them because of one issue Their action is illegal for a non-profit faith organization... And I also believe it's un-Christian Because we follow Jesus Christ as Lord Politics is about how we live and act in community So of course, Our Faith speaks to Politics When our government makes plans to deny the personhood of transgender people, We must pray... When a journalist is killed by the government powers he criticized We must pray... When political leaders promote hate and encourage violence We must pray When pipe bombs are sent to national leaders who criticize those in power We must pray... When a man kills 2 African-Americans in a grocery store After trying to get into a Black Church We must pray When a man kills 11 people in their place of worship Because they are Jewish and live their Faith In welcoming strangers We must pray And follow the Prophet Micah who challenged us---- *What does the Lord require of us But to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God?*
